The Mission of Our Church
Connecting People to Jesus and to One Another
Parkview United Methodist Church is committed to connecting people in Miamisburg and beyond to Jesus and to each other. This is the core mission of the church
The word “church” originates from the word “gathering” or “to gather”. Therefore we believe that the church is not a building or a structure, but rather, the church is actually the believers themselves. Thus we strive every day to actually be the church sharing God's love through connecting people to Jesus.
Our Church Community
We are a faith community located in Miamsburg, Ohio affiliated with The United Methodist Church. We have a worship service at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday and host a number of Bible studies and discipleship groups to support spiritual growth.
We also have a variety of ministries dedicated to helping those in need in our community and beyond as we seek to live out the call to love God and Neighbor with all we have. You're welcome to join us any time!
Our United Methodist Heritage
Parkview is part of a denomination called the United Methodist Church. The UMC has nearly twelve million members around the globe. Though only recently founded in 1968, traces its history and origins back to the life of John Wesley, a British clergyman who lived in the 1700s.
Wesley was part of the Church of England but when the movement spread to America it later became an independent church.
Methodism spread rapidly during the Great Awakening and have played an important role in American religion and public life since that time. They played a vital role in the abolition, suffrage, and other social movements.
Methodists place themselves in the broad Protestant tradition. They place a special emphasis on grace, holiness, and love of God and Neighbor.
